Ram Kripal Yadav was born on 12-10-1957 in Goriatoli, Patna in the state of Bihar, India. He is an Indian Politician.

Ram Kripal Yadav Complete Bio & Career

Ram Kripal Yadav obtained his law degree from Magadh University, Patna. He soon joined politics and became Deputy Mayor of Patna Municipal Corporation. He joined RJD (Rashtriya Janta Dal) in the late 1980s. He became MP for the first time in the year 1993 after he won in bye-election. He shot to fame after he defeated C.P. Thakur of Bhartiya Janta Party in the 2004 general elections from Patna Sahib constituency.
 
He wasn’t given the ticket in 2009 general elections since RJD supremo Laly Prasad Yadav decided to contest from Pata Sahib. The following year, he was sent to Rajya Sabha. After his fall out with Lalu Prasad Yadav, he resigned from the party and joined BJP just before the 2014 general elections. He contested from Patliputra constituency of Bihar and won with some margin. He was made Minister of Rural Development in Narendra Modi’s cabinet.
