Rameshwar Oraon Complete Bio & Career
Dr. Rameshwar was a bright student and completed his Doctoral degree in Economics. He began his career in the year 1971 when he joined the Indian Economic Services. Later he joined the Indian Police Services and was the Superintendent of Police and served in different districts of Bihar. He was also the Inspector General of Police in Patna and was the CID chief in Bihar for almost 3 years. He had a remarkable career before he decided to join politics.
Dr. Rameshwar began his political career in the year joined the Indian National Congress and contested for a parliamentary seat in the year 2004. He filed his nomination from Lohardaga constituency and was elected in May 2004. He held several important and key posts under the Government of India such as Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Coal, Steel and Mines and Ministry of Panchayati Raj. He was also the Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes. He was also a member of the National Human Rights Commission.
. He is a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress and is always involved actively in the welfare of the people.
