Renu Saluja, four-time National Film Award winner was born on 5 July 1952, in Delhi. She worked as an Editor in the Indian film industry.

In the decades of 1980’s and 1990s, Renu Saluja worked with biggest directors of the industry, the list of which includes Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Govind Nihalani, Sudhir Mishra, Mahesh Bhatt, Shekhar Kapoor, and Vijay Singh.
Apart from feature films she worked on short films, documentaries, and television series. She has won the national award for editing films like Dharavi (1991), Parinda (1989), Godmother (1999) and Sardar (1993). She has also bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Editing for 1942: A Love Story (1994), and Parinda (1989).
Renu was a student in the illustrious FTII and her first project was Murder at Monkey Hill (1976) a diploma film by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Renu made her debut with Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai (1980) by Saeed Akhtar Mirza who also happens to be her batchmate. Another film for which she got critical acclaim was Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983). Calcutta Mail directed by Sudhir Mishra released in 2003 was her last edited film.
Her elder sister Radha Saluja also happens to be from the film industry, who has acted in Hindi and Punjabi cinema. Renu married Vidhu Vinod Chopra but later separated. Renu died on 16 August 2000, in Mumbai due to stomach cancer.
