The great daughter of Pranab Mukherjee, existing President of India, Sharmishtha Mukherjee has a name of her own stature. She is surely born in a big Bengali family but continues to maintain her persona and lives mainly out of the limelight. She is an ardent follower of the Indian National Congress but stays away from any kind of controversy as well.
 
Sharmistha Mukherjee is a renowned Kathak dancer. Her teachers Pandit Durgalal, Vidushi Uma Sharma and Rajendra Gangani taught her Kathak lessons since she was 12.Sharmishta is her daddy's girl, you can precisely say. Having a president father can lay a hell lot of pressure on your shoulders too. But she has always chosen to be the ground daughter of a skilled father. She doesn't share the residential area of Rashtrapati Bhavan with her dad but chose to live in Delhi in her own apartment where she has 3 adorable dogs.
 
She has always been an independent, fierce and compelling woman when it came to taking advantage of her father's status. Once on a trip to Central Asia with her friends, Sharmishtha was stuck in Iran's visa system. As her mother's condition doesn't allow her to travel much she is the one by her dad's side even on Republic Day when we had Bhutan's king and queen as guests.
 
In a recent controversy, she was sexually troubled by a man on Facebook by throwing sexual text hurls at her and asking her inconvenient questions. The man must have later regretted taking a big dig at her when she made the post viral on social media and made him feel ashamed of the step he took up.
