Tek Lal Mahto was born on 15th February 1945 in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. He is an Indian Politician and member of the Lok Sabha.

Mahto had a good political career. He is considered to be one of the founder members of the political party known as the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM). He was also the member of the state legislature in Jharkhand and he served five terms there. He was also a member of the Bihar assembly in the year 1985. He was also an elected member of the 14th Lok Sabha from the Giridih constituency. He was a member of the Lok Sabha from 2004- 2009. He served the JMM and represented the Mandu constituency till his death.
He had a strong political career and was a respected member of the local Sabha and the JMM.
Health Issues, Illness and Death Info
Mahto had complained of chest pain before he was admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Jharkhand. He breathed his last on 27th September 2011. He had a major cardiac arrest which the doctor diagnosed to be the reason for his death.
