Buddhadeb Guha was born on 29-06-1936 in Kolkata in the state of West Bengal, India. He was an Indian Writer, Novelist & CA (Chartered Accountant) who wrote novels in the Bengali langaue. He was most popular for his novels like Madhukari: Art of Honey-gathering, Sobinoy Nibedon, Chaprash etc.

Buddhadeb Guha spent his early days of life in many towns of Bengal and attained primary education there. After that, he took addmission at St Xavier's College under the University of Calcutta. He was fond of writing since his childhood and many of his books are based on his youthdays with friends. He talked about his youth life and his agemates in rivu books. Most of his work is done in Bengali language.
Furthermore, he spent several years of his work journey as a chartered accountant. Along with this, he continued his writing journey. He was not only wrote stories but also wrote a lot of novels. Some of his popular novels are Rijudar Songe Sufkor e (Ananda Pub), Ru Aha (Ananda Pub), Taar Baghoa (Ananda Pub), Tin Rijuda (Sahityam), Rivu, Rijuda and so on.
