Charanjit Singh Channi belongs to a Makrona Kalan, small village of Punjab. He finished his basic education at government school of his village Makrona Kalan. He was very extraordinary person during his school days. He moved to Panjab University Chandigarh to get higher education. Here, he got degree of Law. Along with this, he attended PTU Jalandhar where he did his degree of MBA. He has keen interest in basketball and won three gold medals in inter University basketball competitions.
Furthermore, he has a keen interest in Politics since his college days. He had been served himself as a president of Student Union in his college. In 2015, he became the member of the opposition Party in the Punjab Legislative Assembly for three years. After that, Mr. Channi was announced as Minister of Technical Education and Industrial Training under Indian Congress Party in 2017 and continuing this work till he becomes the chief minister of Panjab.
In the month of September 2021, he starts serving himself as a CM of Punjab.
