K. Kavitha Complete Bio & Career
K. Kavitha is the daughter of Telangana first CM K Chandrashekhar Rao. She was educated at Stanley Girls' School. Later she did her engineering from VNRVJIET. In 2001 she was awarded a Master's Degree at the American University. In 2006, she adopted some villages in Nalgonda district and educated the local people for free poor children. In the same following year, the Telangana movement got a raw force with the resignation from the Union Cabinet by the f Chandrashekhar Rao to communicate his strong disagreement for going back on the commitment of formation of new Telangana State by the Central Govt. This motivated millions of Telangana's residents, who even left their jobs to register themselves in this movement.
Driven by the devotion and sacrifices offered by the movement’s leader and others who entered the movement, Kavitha jumped herself in this movement too. To get the first-hand insight of the obstacles concerning the people, Kavitha went the remote villages of Telangana. Despite the depression in Telangana, she noticed, the people of Telangana had a great love and passion for native art and culture beyond all sections. She believed that inclination for native arts could be a traditional thread to join all sections of the community together.
Bringing Motivation from the ongoing people’s campaign for the statehood of Telangana and a great urge to work for the benefit of the people, led Kavitha to the form of Telangana Jagruthi on Aug 2006. Telangana Jagruthi acted a key role in gathering the support of youth as well as the women and even the big sections of the community which served as a strength driven in the calm and non-violent fight for the Independent Statehood of Telangana.
She played an active role in the Telangana state movement from 2009 to 2014. In 2014 she was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Nizamabad Lok Sabha Constituency.
