Narayan Rane was born on 10-04-1952 in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra, India. He is an Indian Politician who is serving as the Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of India. He also served as 13th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 01-02-1999 to 17-10-1999.

Narayan Rane Complete Bio & Career

Narayan Rane is an Indian politician and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He studied at Ghatkopar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal’s Ratra Shala school in Mumbai  He used to live in a low-income housing society in Subhash Nagar Mumbai and before entering politics he along with his friends opened a chicken shop for a living. He remains a member of the Shiv Sena committee from years 1968-2005.Later, he joined the Indian National Congress party from 2005-2017.

He remains Minister of revenue, dairy development, animal husbandry, fisheries, khar lands, special assistance & rehabilitation in the Government of Maharashtra from 1996–1999. He becomes the Chief Minister of Maharashtra State in 1999. He remains a member of Shiv Sena and opposition leader of Vidhan Sabha till 2005.  He then joined the Indian National Congres party and was made the Revenue Minister of Maharashtra from 2005-2008. In 2008, he launched the Marathi daily Prahaar, under the ownership of Rane Prakashan Pvt. Ltd. He becomes a  Minister of Industries and revenue as well from the year 2009-2014. He married Neelam N. Rane one of his sons is also a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party.

In 2017, he then decided to quit Congress and launch the Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha. He offered support from BJP and was elected for the Rajya Sabha on a BJP nomination in 2018. He officially joined Bhartiya Janta Party and merged his party Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksha into BJP in 2019.
