Neeraj Chopra was born on 24-12-1997 in Khandra village, Panipat in the state of Haryana, India. He is an Indian Javelin Thrower, Athlete of Track and Field & Army Officer who qualified for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and win the gold medal on 07-08-2021.

Neeraj Chopra Complete Bio & Career

Neeraj Chopra is an Indian Javelin Thrower. He belongs to Khandra Village of Haryana’s Panipat district. He completed his graduation from DAV college Chandigarh Kurukshetra University Haryana. He started his base in Athletics Nursery at the Taluka Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula. He was trained by Gary Calvert, Werner Daniels, and Uwe Hohn Coach.
 
His career took off after he made his debut in the domestic circuit at National Junior Athletics Competitions in 2021. He won his first Gold medal with a record throw of 68.46 meters. he joined the national camp for superior training and exposure. He joined the Indian Army and is currently serving as a Junior Commissioned Officer with the rank of Naib Subedar.
 
In 2016 his international career lifted when he won his first international Gold medal at the South Asian Games in Guwahati. He also won 2 Silver medals and a Bronze medal at the Asian Grand Prix. The  Series was held in 3 different cities, Jinhua, Jiaxing in China, and Taipei in Taiwan.  He made his IAAF Diamond League debut and finished 7th with a speed throw of 83.80 meters.
 
 He won the Gold medal at the Sotteville Athletics meet in France, in 2018. It was followed by another Gold medal at the Savo Games in Lapinlahti, Finland. In the current year, he shattered his national record by throwing 88.07m at the Indian Grand Prix Meet in Patiala. The sportsman achieves various Gold medals in South Asin games in Guwahati, World U2O Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Asian championships in Bhubaneswar, commonwealth games in gold coast, Australia, Sotteville athletics meet in Scottville-Les-Rouen, France, Savo games in Lapinlahti. etc. He won a gold medal in Tokyo Olympics in 2021. In 2022, he participated in Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku. He reached 1st place with a throw of 89.09m on 26-08-2022 and was declared qualified for the 2023 World Championships in Zurich.
