Shripad Naik was born on 04-10-1952 in Adpai, North Goa in the state of Goa, India. He is an Indian Politician who is the MP from North Goa, belongs to BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). He served as the Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare. Presently, He is serving independently as the State Union Minister of AYUSH & State Defence Minister.

Shripad Naik Complete Bio & Career

Shripad Naik is a politician from India who worked as a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). He took his elementary Study from a Local School at Adpai, North Goa. Then, Mr. Shripad moved to Mumbai and took admission to Bombay University to completed his degree in Bachelor of Arts. After finishing his Alma mater, he indulged in a self-made business. 
 
Furthermore, Mr. Naik has served himself as a political leader since 1994. He worked on various positions such as Goa Legislative Assembly Member, Public Accounts Committee, BJP Legislature Party Member, Committee of Delegated Legislation, Leader till 1999.
 
In 1999, he started his journey in 1994member of the 13th Lok Sabha elections at Goa from North Goa Constituency. From 1999 to 2000, the politician holds the responsibility of Ministry of Rural Development, Standing Committee on Transport and Tourism member, Consultative Committee, and Committee of Absence on Members from the Sittings of House Member. Later on, Mr. Naik announced the Union Minister of State Agriculture from 30th September 2000 until 2nd November 2001. From 2001 to 2004, he was elected as Union Minister of State Shipping, Civil Aviation, and Finance.
 
In 2004, Mr. Shripad was again elected for the position of the 14th Lok Sabha Member. He also worked for many other sectors like Standing Committee on Urban Development, Committee on Papers Laid on Table, Ministry of Tourism, Committee on Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) in 2007. Besides this, he again became the 15th Lok Sabha Member in 2009 and continued his work as Standing Committee on Energy Member, Ministry of Urban Poverty Alleviation etcetera.
 
Additionally, he was re-elected as the 16th (2014) and 17th Lok Sabha Member in 2019. In between, the politician served as Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Defense, and Union Minister of State.
