Subhas Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897. He was an Indian Nationalist. His patriotism made him alive in the hearts of Indians. He attempted to free India from British rule. He gained his education from Ravenshaw Collegiate School and Presidency College situated in Calcutta. He was the leader of the Indian National Congress and later on was promoted to the status of president of the congress party in 1938. He was expelled from the congress part when differences arose amidst him and Mahatma Gandhi. Britishers placed him under House arrest.
 
In April 1941 Bose went to Germany. A free India center was set up with the help of German funds in Berlin in November 1941. Bose broadcasted on free India radio during night time. Bose renovated the Indian National army with the help of the Japanese. Japanese came for the support of the governments in the captured regions like the Philippines and Burma. Subhas Chandra Bose was a man of Charismatic personality and is always remembered for the popular slogans he gave like Jai Hind. Indian National army was based on a diverse model of religion, ethnicity, and gender under the leadership of Bose.
 
But still Japanese condemned Bose for being military unskilled. But his party, Congress was all praise for Bose’s patriotism. Bose secured the fourth position in the Indian civil services examination and got selected but refused to work under the British government. The Swaraj newspaper was started by him. He also had a mentor named, Chittaranjan Das. He always strived to maintain unity in his party. The most famous quote of Bose was, Give me blood and I shall give you freedom. Bose regarded Mahatma Gandhi as the father of the nation. But unfortunately, Bose’s government ended to be an effective government after the fall of Rangoon. He suffered third-degree burns after his plane crashed and he ultimately died on 18 August 1945. There was disbelief, shock, and trauma in the Indian national army after his Death.
