Aaditya Thackeray was born in Mumbai. He was born in a family of poiticians and saw politics from close quarters right from his childhood. He obtained his Law degree from K C Law College, Mumbai. He started actively participating in politics while in his 20s and campaigned rigorously for Shiv Sena during 2014 General and Maharashtra State elections. In 2019, he finally contested in 2019 Maharashtra State elections from Worli Constituency of Mumbai and became an MLA. After the coalition government was formed between Shiv Sena, NCP, and INC, he served as the Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment while his father Uddhav Thackeray served as the CM of Maharashtra.
In 2020, he was given added reponsibiltiy after he was made the guardian minister of Mumbai Suburban District. He is constantly seen in news talk shows and has put forward his party's agenda on various occasions. He is also a poet and has published his first book of poems titled 'My Thoughts in White and Black' in the year 2007. He has also written the lyrics of an album titled Umeed.
