Kamal Nath Complete Bio & Career
Kamal Nath was born on 18 November 1946 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He got his bachelor degree in law from Kanpur University. He also did bachelor’s in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. Kamal Nath was elected nine times from the Lok Sabha Constituency of Chindwara.
Kamal Nath was elected as the president of INC committee of Madhya Pradesh. He later became the chief minister of M.P. He is also close to Gandhi as well as Nehru family since his childhood. He is a great supporter of economic development in India.
He shared his opinions about the issues with the export of rice from India to the developed countries. However, he also got in trouble because of rice exportation. This is because of the large differences in the profit earned by private companies as well as PSUs.
This made him lose his Congress ticket to stand in the election of ChindwaraLok Sabha constituency. As a result, he made his wife, AlkaNath, to stand in the election for the same. He was also accused of being involved in the Sikh riot which took after the murder of Indira Gandhi. However, there was no evidence found against him by the Nanavati commission.
After becoming the CM of the Madhya Pradesh, he associated with many projects which focus on the infrastructural development of India. Delhi Mumbai Corridor project is one of them which is progressing at a very fast rate. It is expected to be completed by December 2019. Kamal Nath is known for his contribution in the public sector and, therefore, was honored with a doctorate from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur. He had also received a lot of achievements in the business sector. In 2007, he also got his name in FDI magazine as FDI personality of the year.
