Nikhil Nanda’s company Escorts Limited manufactures agricultural machinery, machine construction and material handling equipment, railway equipment and auto components. It was founded by Har Prasad Nanda, Nikhil’s paternal grandfather in 1948. 

 

Nikhil completed his school from Doon School in Dehradun and further studies business management in Finance and Marketing at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America.

 

Nikhil, the influential businessperson, got listed as one of the five Indians who was chosen as the Global Leaders of Tomorrow in 2001 in Geneva by the World Economic Forum. In the 1980s, his family launched a business of home appliances which mainly offered ‘kithenette’, a combination of gas stove and oven. Nikhil has an estimated net worth of Rs. 3,400 crore with personal properties of Rs. 640 crore 

 

Nikhil belongs to a reputed business family, his father Rajan Nanda being a successful businessman and mother, Ritu Nanda, being a renowned Insurance advisor and CEO of Ritu Nanda Insurance Services(RNIS) who holds a world record for selling 17,000 pension policies in a single day. Nikhil is also the grandson of Bollywood showman Raj Kapoor. He is an entrepreneur and truly an industrialist and made his companies reach great heights.
